Now

Select File and Print Sharing and tick the ‘I want to share my files’ box.

Tick ‘I want to share my printer ‘ if you want but this can slow your PC down considerably if someone prints through your computer

Windows will copy some files and may ask for a reboot. On re-entering windows you should have a login box. To enable the network features you must login. At first login you are asked for a password.

If you forget your password you can enter a different username and then generate a new password. There isn't any real security with Win98.
