Launched in May 1996, the Equinox limited edition of 1000 cars was available in Amaranth (purple), Silver and Charcoal.

All the cars feature the same purple 'moon and stars' theme on comfy black cloth and vinyl seats.

My car has a blue leather gearknob but I haven't seen this on other cars.

Fitted with a standard 1275 single point injection engine, the Equinox isn't as fast as a Cooper.

My Mini has insurance friendly mods such as:

Falken 165x60x12 tyres

RC40 stainless steel exhaust

K & N air filter
